Last year, G-Shock celebrated its 40th anniversary with a landslide of new releases. But even with the turn of the calendar, the Japanese watchmaker shows no sign of slowing down, having already released a slew of new timepieces—including a collaboration with Toyota and a new MR-G. Now the brand is looking to the cosmos for the latest addition to its MT-G lineup, the Diffuse Nebula MTGB3000DN1A.

The watch is protected by a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case and encloses the exterior in metal components. But despite all this, the watch itself is slimmer, measuring just 12.1 mm from case back to bezel. The band is made of black urethane mixed with aluminum material in four different colors.

The Diffuse Nebula MTGB3000DN1A G-shock watch from Casio is the latest addition to its MT-G lineup, shown lit up in the dark.

The G-Shock Diffuse Nebula watch is solar powered, can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth Smartphone, and features a bright LED light.

While this G-Shock is certainly visually striking, it carries all of the tech that has built the brand an almost cult-like following over the past four decades. It’s solar powered, can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth Smartphone, and features an LED light, a stopwatch, and a countdown timer, as well as a daily alarm. Of course, the watch also features the brand’s trademark durability and is water resistant up to 200 meters, and is shock resistant, centrifugal force resistant, and vibration resistant.

The limited-edition G-Shock Diffuse Nebula MTGB3000DN1A is priced at $1,250 and available at select retailers across the U.S.
